When you request a match, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you need, a description of your project, your preferred contact method, and your timeline. Our analytics tools also collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, and how you use the site.
How we use your information
- To match you with one vetted contractor for your project and introduce the two of you.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and our matching service.
Who we share it with
We share your contact details and project information with exactly one contractor — the pro we match you with — so they can reach out about your project. We also share limited data with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting and analytics), who may use it only for that purpose. We will disclose information if required by law.
Calls and texts
By submitting a request or providing your phone number, you agree that Good Word Pros and the one contractor we match you with may call or text you about your project, including by automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded voice. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts.
We never sell your information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
Your choices
You can ask us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@goodwordpros.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Good Word Pros is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
